jquery - Calling Jabber sdk for web through firefox add-on -

here scenario....

scenario: have developed mozilla add-on detects phone numbers on given web page , highlights number hyperlink. comes real question....

when user clicks on number, click event should call jabber sdk plugin initiate audio/video communication.

problem: unable figure out how add-on can call plugin. message passing solution? if , need guidance figure out.
