What happens when credit card expires on recurring paypal payment? -

on recurring paypal payment, happens when cc expires?

will send ipn notification? send email seller , buyer? stopped till cc not updated , continues when updated?

what happen, many thing dependent on payment on sites.

when credit card going expire buyer needs update billing information. buyer e-mail paypal saying going expire , asks user update billing information.

if buyer not update billing details payment fail. reason may not fail because may have money in paypal account or funding source. , ipn post sent failed payment.

if buyer update credit or debit card information before recurring profile bills should receive payment successfully.
